Art is a one of many ways that people express themselves. There are all kinds of different forms of art so people can express themselves in many different ways. You can guess at what kind of person an artist by looking at all their art. Many people use art as a stress relief or just a way to escape for a while and relax. So I would say that it's safe to say that art isn't just one thing. Art functions as many different things.

Art education in schools slowly detoriorates the higher up you go. In elementary and middle school you have to be very involved in art but in high school it's a joke. You just show up to class and you get an "A". Currently I'm in an Intro to Art class for my first semester of college. I would say that it has definitely been the most involved I have ever been in art. Our teacher makes us go to plays, musicals, and other cultural events so that we can exempt our final and we even had to go to the high museum so that we could get extra points on our midterm. Overall, I would say that art education in schools is only good if you have a teacher that is dedicated to the cause.

A: I currently work at the High Museum of Atlana.

A: I've worked here for 6 years now.

Q: What exhibit are you responsible for?
A: I'm actually over the entire folk art section of the museum.

Q: Where did you go to school?
A: I recieved degrees from two different schools: Georgia State University and Rhodes College.

Q: What degrees did you earn at each?
A: I earned my masters in Art History from Georgia state and I recieved a bachelor's degree in museum history from Rhodes.

Q: What kind of art do you do?
A: Graffiti

Q: Did you ever go to any kind of art school?
A: Yes I went to the Ivy School of Professional Art in Pittsburgh, but I dropped out after a few semesters.

Q: What did you do after you dropped out?
A: I went to the School of Visual Arts in New York City.

Q: Where did you first get inspired to do graffitti?
A: While I was attending the School of Visual Arts in New York, I saw people's paintings on subways stations and all over the walls and they really just gave me a passion for graffiti.

Q: Who were some of your favorite artists? A: Jean Dubuffet, Pierre Alechinsky, William Burroughs, Brion Gysin and Robert Henri.
