I'm not sure why I like this sculpture so much but I thought it was really cool. I saw this on Venice Beach in Los Angelos. It was just so abstract and it was in the middle of the street. For whatever reason there is an Anarchy like sign on the top of it(you can't see it because this uploader sucks), but the theme of Anarchy would definitely be suitable for Venice Beach.

My Favorite Artist: Keith Haring

Keith Haring is my favorite artist for several different reasons. I think that his work is awesome.
One reason he is my favorite is because he is a graffiti artist. I think that graffiti artists are probably some of the most skilled artists because they paint with spray paint and not with brushes.

Another reason I like his work so much is because it's so simple. Not many of his works have that much detail in them. But sometimes simplicity is amazing all by itself.

Graffiti is Definitely Art

I without a doubt consider graffiti to be art. Even when the artist is using their work as vandalism, it's still art. Graffiti artists, like most other artists choose to paint to express how they feel. In my opinion I think that graffiti art is way more interesting than contemporary art anyways.

Fight Club: Film as Art

I think that the movie Fight Club was a work of art because it was very intriguing. The movie, contrary to its title, was hardly even about fighting. It focuses on a man's struggle of self identity. In the movie he has split personalities. One of his personalities likes to blow stuff up and the other is pretty much an office nerd. By the end of the movie the bad side has almost taken over and the good side has to fight to regain control. It's pretty much one of the best movies that I've ever seen.

This video is definetly a work of art because: (A) It was made by Michael Jackson, and (B) It's practically a whole theatre performace composed into a music video.

Kandi's picture from the "alter ego" photoshoot to me represented the human condition of frailty. It shows how fragile we are and that one minute you can be living and the next you can be dead.

Picasso's guernica to me represents human struggle. Mainly because you can see people being killed and stabbed. It shows that there is a struggle of power that goes on everyday.
